He's also an excellent defensive 1B(The Fielding Bible has him easily the best in baseball over the past 3 years, although I'm not sold on the methodology used for first basemen). If Tex couldn't handle LF, I bet Lee could.

He's got 18 after 7 in July and 3 so far this month.

Wasn't the rumor in the offseason that the O's would ship Prior to Texas for Tex if the Tejada trade went through? If they still have interest I would send them Prior and Marshall for Tex this offseason. I have no doubt Tex or Lee could play LF as well as Murton has. After this trade, we would just have to shore up the rotation.
