The other day when Len Kasper was interviewing Greg Maddux on the "Lead Off Man"/WGN, Len asked how would Mad Dog feel if he were traded by the Cubs...and one of the things Maddux said was that with free agency and everything, that he would seriously consider coming back to the Cubs. I certainly wouldn't want to overpay him but I really hope "Ole Jimbo" goes after him hard. I would sign him for middle relief and spot starting. I see on the Cubs schedule that it's not until Sept. 12-14th, that the Dodgers will be in town. I hope and pray that everytime that Mad Dog's and Nomar's names are announced that both players receive a standing ovation! Although I don't know where we would play him, Nomar is another player I wish the Cubs still had.

I HIGHLY doubt that Maddux would agree to be a middle reliever/spot starter. Plus, he'd be horrible as a reliever considering that he's always struggled in the first inning throughout his career.

if I were king for a day...

clean coaching staff house, pry Joe from the fish, bring Maddux back as pitching coach in 2007.

If I were king for a day, Dusty and his entire coaching staff would be on the gallows.

(not chris spier ofcourse) :)

For a day?

It would take me 15 seconds.

Nice. I've missed your banter while in Cub fan exile Banedon.

I, for one, admire the fact that he waited this long into the season to drown his sorrows. He's got a ton of fortitude . . .
