Looks like he was pulled because his pitches were getting up there, he looked gassed and he had a couple of running-over-to-cover-1B plays (yes! he did cover 1B!).

They did look at his hand and as he walked in the dugout, he was holding his hand oddly, like a claw. Len and Bob were speculating that he probably had some hand/forearm cramping because of the heat/humidity. No indication from either of them that there's concern over something more serious.

He reached his prescribed pitch count. Dusty tried to let him finish the 6th, but he walked a batter so he pulled him.

I haven't heard anything about an injury, other than a hand cramp, which is nothing.

Hurt his hand or finger, I understand.

Thank you, I do.

I was referring to Prior.

He'll be placed on the DL tomorrow.

I hope they place him gently.

The Cubs will try to place Prior on the 15 day DL but they will drop him, he'll break his leg and will have to be placed on the 60 day DL.

What did you say?! Are they going to replace his hand with a claw?

Man, that'll do something to the grips on his pitches. Imagine the movement now...

According to the Trib article, Prior's had was just cramping up a bit after throwing over 100 pitches, for what I think is the first time this season. Nothing to be concerned about...I think...

Then again, this is the Cubs.
