Boise with a valiant comeback attempt, but they fall short. The final is 14-10.

 

Colvin ended up 3 for 6 and a HR shy of the cycle with 3 RBI. Lansford was 5 for 6 (all singles) and 2 RBI.

That's amazing... the opposition basically pitched a perfect game, and Mesa still wins. Don't know if I've ever seen that before. Even Harvey Haddix ended up giving up a hit and a walk after pitching a 12 inning perfect game.

 

Somebody should email Stats Inc to see if that's ever happened before. I'm legitimately curious.

Any chance he sees Peoria? His bat could probably help in the playoffs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get promoted soon if he keeps hitting like this!

What's the scouting report on Shaver?

 

I always assumed he was a control/finesse pitcher, but he has a fairly decent K rate and a higher walk rate than you would expect for that type.
