Paper bags people. Paper bags...

I can't blame people for still going. I'm broke, so you better bet if I'd spent money on tickets and had to plan ahead to take time off work to go, I'm going.

So with that in mind, fans have got to start doing something to stand up to management and tell them that we're ashamed of this season and the management of this club.

So what I propose is this, and it's going to take guys like the folks here who get to go to games to get it off the ground. Start wearing paper bags on your heads with cut in eye, nose, and mouth holes. Heh, get creative with it, you can cut them in half and just have it as a head cover over your eyes with eye holes, heh.

What would need to happen is some folks invest in a bunch, they're pretty cheap. Spend an evening using your scissors, and take them to the game. Hand them out. A whole section with bags over their head will probably stand out!

Heck, write things on them. "Fire Dusty" "Excuses Suck" "Horses?", etc.

A whole bleacher section would be nice . NSSB and the heckler should sponsor it. 30-40 posters and heckler staff passing out the bags would make some nice advertisment for NSSB.

And as long as people are wearing paper bags, they should sit silently with their arms crossed. They should only get up to use the bathrooms. And they shouldn't buy any concessions: no food, no drinks--even beer (did I just say that?), or souvenirs. Stand for the national anthem and the seventh inning stretch, but don't sing Take Me Out To The Ball Game. When you leave, put your paper bag on the seat back.

Here's a better idea: STOP FEEDING THE CASH COW

I was going to go to a few games this summer, but after a horrendus May, I decided against it. And I'm not going to go until they start winning.

you might never go to a Cubs game again...

And that'll be fine with me. I will bleed Cubbie Blue my entire life. The only change is I may become more active in Red Sox Nation.

i'm one of those fella's stuck w/ tickets.

going to atl in sept. (already got hotel or i'd just eat the tickets).

also going to new busch sometime later this year to see the cubs. i got tickets for my dad for fathers day ( i can already hear him bitching all the way home about this piece of s--t team of ours).

i just don't see how someone's head hasnt rolled yet. this team just quit after the first week w/ out Lee. if baker isnt on the chopping block, how can we still have the same coaching staff?

its one of the few companies in the world that can be ran so poorly and still get to be a big ol' fat cash cow.

damn this season!

Dusty is very loyal to his coaches. He fought hard against the firing of Wendell Kim. I don't see him staying if the coaches are fired. When I see suggestions like keeping Dusty while firing the coaching staff (a popular thought at some blogs), it boggles the mind.

Dusty is more loyal to his coaches and to certain players than he is to the team. Hendry is turning out to be more loyal to Dusty than he is to the team. The team continues to suffer because of this.

That problem just continues the further on up the ladder you go.

I hear if you try to rebel against your team at Wrigley (ie boo bad plays and things like that), fans swear at you, tell you that you aren't a real fan, and should go be a Sox fan.

Just a rumor.

I MAY NOT AGREE WITH EVERYTHING HE DOES, BUT DAMNIT, HE'S THE MANAGER! AND WE HAVE TO SUPPORT OUR MANAGER!

it is fine to boo bad plays, but idiots that boo a player for popping out are stupid. The player made contact and hit the ball in the air.....it happens. There are too many people there to party that is it and it gives the rest of us a bad rep.

We were booing the poor Dempster throw, the error by Ronny, and the awful ninth inning. Personally, I thought Dusty was an idiot for not having someone warming up after Dempster took one off him. His velocity was down for a good 10 pitches or so and I thought the chances for injury were significantly increased.
