What is it with Downs? He was in the same draft as Sean Marshall, and he's still pitcing at Boise? :?

Well, he was drafted out of HS while Marshall was drafted out of college. I was surprised to see his return to Boise after pitching pretty well last season. All in all, it's disappointing that he's not at Peoria and that he's struggling in his third stint at Boise.

I guess the growth plates didn't work out that well. :P

Colvin's first 8 ABs:

3 singles.

1 6-3 groundout.

4 Ks.

Not great...not terrible; I think it's hard to really tell what's going on with him until Boise gets back home so we can see how his swing has adjusted to the wood bat.
