I just found an old Sprts Illustrated(THE CURSE LIVES) that has a cover story of Wood and Prior. On the front cover it has Wood/Prior with close ups, with the caption of "Chicago Heat."

 

My question is....."should I throw the magazine away?"

Well if ya really want to torture yourself, go to the official Cubs gift store right inside the front gate. They are selling Marlins/Cubs championship T's for $2. I almost got one for a joke, but it's not been long enough. It's not funny to me yet... even for $2!!

It was "Do you Believe?" because it was a regional cover. The other one had Pedro and the Red Sox with the same headline.

I have all of those as well as tons of newspaper clippings from that postseason run. After they lost I decided I'd hang on to them until they did win a WS and then burn them. At this point they might deteriorate first.
