This reminds me of an outing a kid who pitched for me had. Last inning of a game with an 8 run lead. He had trouble finishing games out of the pen. Told him to relax, he had a 8 run lead to work with. Before we could close out the inning we had 3 errors and a couple of walks and win by one run....

 

Somedays you just know the baseball gods are laughing at you.
