Okay, I have not seen it posted yet. Maybe we should just start a post for every day that Bruce rights an article. Very well written again, still one of the only ones that states what is wrong with this club. I found a very interesting quote from Baker in there...

“It’s tough,” Cubs manager Dusty Baker said. “A lot of teams that have come in and outslugged us have more guys who can slug. We got a bunch of hits, almost as many hits as they did. They hit 1 home run. We hit 1 home run. They got some extra-base hits. We’ve got to figure out a way to outhit them in this ballpark.”

I find that interesting because when you look at the boxscore, we did have just 1 hit less than them. We did have as many HR as they did. But there were two glaring differences - walks and strikeouts. They had 5 & 3, we had 1 & 8. Not that 4 walks would have allowed us 7 runs last night, but it turns the lineup over and so on...I don't need to explain it to you guys.

Anyways, just another good articles.

Just one point of help from all of you. Last night I was sitting with my 6 year old son, who is really into baseball and the Cubs (oh what I have done). Anyways, he asked the questiong..."if I watch baseball on TV will it make me a better baseball player." Ponder that question!

If you watch the games on ESPN, that Steve "for all you young players out there" Stone does, he could become a smarter player. I personally think Stone offers a lot to young and old fans that didn't play professionally. I'm sure Jaque could learn a thing or two.
