Daytona now leads 6-2 after 3. Jeff Culpepper drove in a run on an RBI double, Fox drove in his 3rd run of the game on an RBI single, and Ryan Harvey drove in 2 on an RBI single as well.

Flames, are you listening to the game? If so, how has Billek sounded?

I'm going off the box on MiLB.com...Daytona's feed always comes in bad for me for some reason.

He's pitching a lot better than his 1st start with Daytona. One of the runs he allowed was unearned. He has only allowed 3 hits through 5 and has only had 2 BB's compared to 3 K's.

Daytona wins game 1, 7-6! Billek's final line: 5 1/3 IP, 5 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), 2 BB's, 3 K's, 1 HR allowed. Mendez had his 2nd blown save of the season, but also got the win in relief. Daytona won it in the bottom of the 7th on a fielder's choice that scored Weston. Fox had a huge night going 4 for 4 with the homer and 3 RBI's. Culpepper and Weston each had 2 hits and Craig, Harvey, and Spearman all had a hit. Fuld reached base once on a walk and later scored.

Sean Gallagher throws on Friday night for the Jaxx!

Ron says that Listach mentioned that there's a very strong possibility that Randy Wells and Clay Rapada will be going to AAA on Sunday!

Awesome!

Pie strikes out swinging in the fourth. It's 0-0 in that game.

Piggy is still on the DL with a sore left shoulder. Hopefully he'll be back at the start of the 2nd half.

PIE CHART is back!

That was an AB in the 6th inning.

I-Cubs down 1-0 thanks to an unearned run off Prior. Prior is now batting in the 7th with the bases juiced. Prior strikes out. :(

Prior goes 6.2 and now is relieved by Jerome Williams with none on.

Belt-high pitch with no outs and the count in Pie's favor, that is a place they should have had him swinging away. I know that they couldn't really know it'd be that good of a pitch but with a runner on 2nd in that situation just a hit to the right side of the infield would have moved the runner over.

Lots of good changes. I hope Randy can keep doing his journal from Iowa.
