Ok, day one is over now and maybe that is for the better. Day 2 will be rounds 19-50 and will begin at 11AM CT.

There are still guys like Jason Jarvis and Derrick Lutz out there. There are also still intriguing college bats like Mike Goetz and Mark Shorey out there as well. It'll be interesting to see how the 2nd day shakes out.

I assume the picks will be coming fast and furious.

Does baseball have a Mr. Irrelevant? Probably not, as teams can stop drafting whenever they want, right?

Roll Call is going on right now, today will be at a rapid fire pace. There will only be breaks after round 30 and 40.

Yes, Jeremy is the hard-throwing, left-handed brother of Jon. In just a second I'll get all of the links posted.

From what I can tell he's a hard-thrower with pretty good control. He's a bit on the small side for a power pitcher though which is odd for the Cubs. I've got no clue what he throws though.

His velocity has trailed a bit this season, hopefully it bounces back:

Jeremy Papelbon is the younger brother of Red Sox reliever Jonathan. Jeremy's fastball velocity was better last summer when he ranked among the top 10 prospects in the New England Collegiate League. This spring he sat near 86 mph. He has some deception from the left side. He relies on command, which was not as sharp this spring as it was last summer.

According to BA, his fastball sat at around mid-80's this year and he depends primarily on command and deception--his BB numbers are outstanding.

599- Kevin Kreier RHP Foothill Hs.

Kreier also appears to be a good high school basketball player. Might be a tough sign.

T2E!! Where have you been lurking? I've been looking for your input for the last few months now.

Yep, I've been extremely busy recently, but summer is here and I should have a lot more time for NSBB.

He's committed to play baseball Western Nevada CC and isn't expected to sign according to the coach there. He looks like a DFE candidate to me atleast for now.

Here is the article about Kreier.

Pretty basic stat line--he was a reliever for Missouri this year. Nothing jumps out at you about his stats. Seems like a lower level filler pick.
