According to a LaRussa interview in-game, Pujols heard or felt something pop when he tried to chase a Nevin foul ball.

I don't have any sources for this yet, and I don't know how long he's gonna be out.

From a baseball standpoint, I hate to see a great baseball player go down on injury, but from a Cubs standpoint I feel like the field has been leveled.

I don't like to see injuries either.

However, it's about time they starting suffering a few problems in St. Louis. It's been far too long they've been living a charmed existence, with every single piece falling perfectly into place just as they need it to.

I know what your saying goes beyond injuries, but its not like they've been completely healthy with Edmonds, Rolen, Carpenter and others missing significant time over the past 2 seasons. Not as devistating as the Cubs but still. And as for having players fill in well, i guess they just have a better organization then the Cubs do.

Don't forget a better manager.

They don't have a world series in that span, so I wouldn't say it's been perfect.
