How about this question:

Is this the game that turns St. Louis' season around?

Well, now...

Maybe this is the game that turns StL's season around. Their offense is not so impressive without Albert there.

I was at the game last nigt...well the first 11.5 innings anyway...considering who we had up, who we had left to pitch, who they had up...and the fact that we were paying a sitter $12 an hour my wife decided it was time for us to go...I am ashamed to say I agreed with her...it was a nice win...Rolen makes that play in the 9th 995 times out of 1000....but it mean nothing unless we win the next two games...Rusch seems to do alright against the Cards, so may maybe there is hope.

And you consider yourself a true fan?

I was sitting at home and I was about to call it quits. Not to mention I wasn't paying a sitter $12 an hour.

$12.00 an hour are you insane. What were they a member of some Babysitting Union. I don't have kids or live in St. Louis but that seems like a lot.

Maybe an entire weekend that changes the luck from Rolen's "Buckner" to Pujols getting injured.

We have certainly done the Reds a favor. They have beaten Houston twice in a row to pull within 3 games of first place.

Nice to see how things turn out. Good job with the pre-game optimism, everybody  .......

I was thinking the same thing...

Pujols has been, by far, the best hitter in the majors this season. He makes up for and hides a lot of poor performances. He will be missed. The only other hitters in their line-up with an OPS over .800 are Scott Rolen and Hector Luna. Spiezio does as well but only over a 90 at bat span while his career OPS is .743.

Where is everyone that said we'd lose 8-1 yesterday?!

I think we're going to sweep this series now. I knew we'd win the series from game 1, regardless of yesterday.
