For a minor leaguer. I guess all you need to do to make a lot of money is be a lefty and know what a baseball is. I'd ask why he still gets jobs, but I follow a team that still employs Fat Glenny Rusch.

I hope Hendry is on the phone with Minaya about Rusch. Rusch has to be as good as this guy.

While I'd never tell you Dave Williams is a potential Cy Young candidate, he did win over 10 games last year and had a winning record on a rather pathetic team.

 

I don't think he's really as bad as he's been for the reds. I think he'll do a lot better for the Mets. 20 game winner? Never. Servicable pitcher/inning eater? Probably.

I can see why they're doing this. I mean, it's not like they have anybody else that could fill that 5th starter role.

I think there doing the right thing Heilman and Wagner at the back end of a bullpen is a good set up. There not searching for a miracle worker at of the fifth starter spot just someone to hopefully eat up some innings until they can swing a trade for a impact pitcher at the deadline or one of there young arms is ready.
