MiLB.com's home page has a poll on who will be the first minor leaguer to hit 20 home runs this year. In addition to Micah, other choices are Hunter Pence (Corpus Christi), Gaby Sanchez (Greensboro), Terry Evans (Palm Beach), Steven Pearce (Hickory), and Scott Seabol (Albuquerque). Micah is currently third in the voting with 36 votes, behind Pence (running away with 94) and Seabol (42).

I voted! Micah's currently in third. But, honestly, what objective observer would have thought he would come even close to hitting 20 this year? I'm so impressed by Micah's advances. I hope that its not merely a hot streak, but that it represents a giant leap forward for him as a player.

I don't have much time because I'm at lunch right now, but I've got Micah in 1st place now with 131 votes; hopefully I'll have some more time to vote later on.
