PHOENIX (AP) -- Third baseman Chad Tracy and the Arizona Diamondbacks agreed Monday to a $13.25 million, three-year contract extension through 2009 that includes a team option for the following season.

Tracy, who is making $381,000 this season, gets a $1 million signing bonus, $2.75 million next year, $3.75 million in 2008 and $4.75 million in 2009. Arizona has a $7 million option for 2010 with a $1 million buyout.

Tracy's extension comes five months after the club gave No. 1 starting pitcher Brandon Webb a $19.5 million, four-year contract. Like Tracy, Webb is signed through 2009 with a team option for the following season.

crap i was hoping he would get more to give ARam another reason to opt out.

But good for him, the Dbacks, and Dusty next year.

I would say the Cubs could've gotten him otherwise, but his OBP was far too high for that to happen.
