He's the first REAL leadoff hitter the Cubs have had since 1922. He's fast and steals bases and lays down bunts. What else could you want in a leadoff hitter?

Should we keep a running tab of booth excuses?

 

If so, Brenly just said that Walker has been hitting a lot of balls hard, but the defense has just been making plays on him.

Getting on base once in awhile would be nice. But as long as he is a REAL leadoff hitter that I guess will just have to be happy.
