Trading for Conine is strictly a "contender trying to strengthen up the bench" type move. And the Cubs are closer to competing with the Pirates for last place, then they are for a playoff spot.

 

Just say no to Conine.

If anything, the Cubs should be trying to trade Perez, Rusch, Jones, Williams, Mabry and any other bad contracts that they have at this point. Lets be honest, none of the above named players are going to make any type of impact on the Cubs playoff chances this year.
