Believe me, I've thought of it. They're producing at roughly the same clip right now, and I for one do not believe Kenny is done. He could have been had for 2-3 mil less than Slap ReallyNasty, and it wouldn't have cost us 3 players to get him.

I do not like how the second-greatest slugger in Cubs history has disappeared from the baseball radar. Sammy deserves better than this. For crying out loud, this year is going to suck anyway, why can't the Cubs be big men here instead of whiny little babies and bring back Sammy to end his career with pride?

 

I guarantee you the fans would go NUTS for Sammy. Just platoon him with Jock and give him some ABs as the RH pinch-hitter off the bench. You telling me an aging Sosa can't out-produce Michael Restovich in the same kind of limited role? Puh-leeze.

Sammy is a lying, filthy cheater who would have been good, but not great without steroids. Why shoudl the Cubs bow down to him? Yes they wer an accomplice in his steroid scandal, but they owe him nothing now and the Cubs deserve better.
