My hotel's hardly a half mile from Chase Field - I'd be a fool not to go, especially given that the one bright spot in the rotation will be on the mound that evening. It will be a nice break from business.

It should be Maddux vs. Batista. Maddux hasn't fared well against Arizona ... and there's no time like the present to change that. :)

Reminds me of the one time an unfortunate incident (my mom going into the hospital) brought me into Arizona in August of 2003, the same week that the Cubs just so happened to be in town. I decided that due to the unfortunate circumstances, I needed a pick-me-up, so I went to the first game of the series, which turned out to be Carlos Zambrano's almost no hitter. Great times in AZ. Hope you have fun!
