Because of fatigue. From Rotoworld:

Wade Miller - S - Cubs

Wade Miller will be shut down for a few days after feeling "fatigued" following his last throwing session.

In Chicago, fatigued means sore. Sore, of course, means that Dr. James Andrews has to clear his schedule for a couple of hours. Miller won't return from shoulder surgery until June at the earliest. Apr. 25 - 8:55 pm et

I'm firing up my Cubs translator...

"few days" = "see you in June"

I don't think anyone expected Miller back before June.

I know, I meant "see you back on the mound, rehabbing the shoulder, in June"

Is there anything on cubs.com about this and do you have a link to the Rotoworld quote?

From the Guzman set for Debut article on Cubs.com (scroll down):

Arms race: Kerry Wood (shoulder) is on track to pitch for the Cubs Rookie League team in Mesa, Ariz. on Wednesday. Mark Prior (shoulder) will face hitters for the second time on Thursday in Mesa. He will throw between 40-50 pitches.

Wade Miller, also coming back from shoulder surgery, will be shut down for a few days. Cubs pitching coach Larry Rothschild said Miller was feeling a little "fatigued" after his last throwing session.

"We'll see where he is in a few days," Rothschild said.

Miller is already looking like a Cub pitcher.

It's starting to look like:

Wood: mid-May

Miller: June

Prior: Sometime between June 1 and October 1

I'm personally not expecting much from Miller even if he does come back. I'm more worried about getting Prior and Wood back to be honest. They are the guys we will need.

Agreed. Here's how the rotation looks to me for the rest of the season:

Zambrano

Maddux

Marshall

Wood/Guzman-Hill

Prior/Miller
