Very simple pool where you draft four players and your top three count. 28 players will be drafted in total (7 teams). The team that usually wins is the one that picks the guys that make the biggest increase in HRs over the previous year (e.g., last year it was A. Jones and D. Lee).

Who will have the biggest increase in HRs from last year?

Who will have the biggest decrease in HRs from last year?

What are your thoughts/projections on/for Thome, Travis Haffner, Edmonds, Sheffield and A. Jones?

Other thoughts and logic would be greatly appreciated as well.

Watch for huge increases in HRs from.

Brad Wilkerson.

Ryan Howard, Jim Thome, Bobby Crosby, Scott Rolen, Jeff Francouer, Magglio Ordonez and Barry Bonds should all see huge increases with full seasons (if they are healthy) as opposed to last year.

Carlos Beltran

Watch for decreases from.

Soriano

Ensberg

Giambi

Dellucci

Jermaine Dye

Tony Clark

I actually expect Andruw to keep hitting. 40-45 would be a safe bet, 50 again possible. Thome, I'd guess 20-30, depending on health. Hafner may hit 40 this year. Edmonds and Sheff are aging. Edmonds dropped 13 HRs from 04-05. Sheff has dropped a few each year the last 3. I'd expect 25-30 from both.

Thanks man.

Just curious, why do you think Giambi will decrease. He seems to be past his health and steroid issues and has the short porch at Yankee stadium going for him.

Because the steroids are behind him and he's 35 now.

That's pretty much it. He had much more to prove last year. I think injuries could be a problem with him.
