Hairston's playing well so far this Spring.

That's what I was thinking. It sounds like he wasn't playing at 100% last year b/c of some nagging injuries, but now he's healthy.

I'm getting less and less concerned about Walker starting.

grounder right side, Glendon fails to cover. 1st and 3rd, no outs.

Cubs pitchers really need to work on that this Spring Training. Make them work on it for a whole afternoon with Maddux one day!

Soto's looking good behind the plate defensively.

Somewhat surprising, so has Fox. Good to see the young catchers looking good.

If Fox keeps it up though, he's on top. IMO he has the most promising bat.

one bouncer to Mabry to end the inning.

It's a good thing this is ST, b/c our fundamentals are sucking.

That's part of what I enjoy about watching the Japanese and the Korean teams. They really do the fundamentals exceptionally well. The defense of Japan was sick (as in very good) last night against the U.S. Of course, so is DLee's defense! :D

bottom 4, cubs down 1-3

Walker flies out to CF...NOPE...Freeman lets it go over his head.

Maybe it's the sun. :?

This game sounds funny.

other than the firstbaseman pulling his foot of the bag in the 9th, they were solid. they could definitely teach us some things.
