God what have I done. I just spent 230 bucks on two seats for the 4/23 game.

Woah there. Where are you, the Cubs dugout?

I hope so! I'm row A of the section, so it's front row. I just hope it's the Cubs side!

I bet you purchased party room seats. If so, you get free beer, but you're high up.

They said party room, yeah. But the color code matched up with the seats right behind the dugout, as did the price. For 110 bucks a ticket, I damn well better be right by the dugout!

What was your method for getting in?

I opened like 25 or so windows right before 9. I've just been lucky, I guess.

Looks like the only thing left for Cubs games are SRO. At least, Cubs games in April and June.

Now for August as well.

Should I buy two SRO tickets to the game on Aug 26?

Nah...I've spent enough on tickets already this year...

Posted
I can't get in at all.

Looks like I won't be seeing any Cubs/Cards games at all this year.

What game were you going for? Aside from the great seats that one game, all I got was SRO for the others, but I might be able to help you out.

There should still be some SRO tickets left. Just open a lot of windows/tabs and keep the faith. You'll get in eventually.

I bought a pair of SRO's for the Cards home opener, just to recoup some of my expenses. I put them on ebay like 10 minutes ago and the high bid is already 150 bucks!

192.50 now!!

Attention Bidders:

The resale of tickets for all sporting events held in Missouri is restricted by Missouri state law. The resale price of these tickets cannot be greater than the face value printed on the ticket.

Any Buy It Now price associated with such tickets offered by the seller cannot exceeds face value. In addition, the seller must end the auction early if and when the bid amount reaches the face value of the ticket(s) listed in this auction.

What about this?

Ignore it. I used to scalp Cards tickets on eBay all the time.

I REALLY wish I had tried this year, all this talk has got me ready for an onsale.

All you gotta do is mention that you're also including a baseball card in the sale. That's how you easily get around that.

By the way, I put 2 SRO's up on ebay for the 4/22/06 game as well. I hate scalping to Cubs fans, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. If you're interested, take a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6610773838

Use stubhub.com. I've found tickets for some of the Cards/Cubs series for not much above face value. Not the greatest seats, but at least I'm in the place.

I'm sitting in the Ozzie Smith Party Room for the Saturday 4/22 game.

I bought a single for the Friday 4/21 and Sunday 4/23 games. Not too bad of a seat though. Sec 250 and 248 respectively.

Those are great seats, Vance! It must make a big difference when you're only requesting one seat.

Yes it does. I don't mind attending a game alone, and when getting singles you can sometimes find some great seats.

Once at an Astros-Expos game, I bought a single the day of the game and sat one row behind Drayton McClain.

Turns out you were right - I'm down the left field line. Not exactly what I had in mind when I bought 110 dollar tickets. I think I'm gonna sell these them. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Before you get rid of them, if it's the party room...you get free Budweiser from 30 mins before the game to the top of the 8th...so if you drink, you might enjoy being in that room.

Depending on what party room you're in....if it's the Coca-Cola Pavillion you'll have a buffet as well.
