The Diamond Jaxx have a new radio station. News Talk 101.5 FM, WNWS and the Diamond Jaxx have agreed on a deal that will allow all 140 games to be broadcast on WNWS and/or http://www.wnws.com

 

The Jaxx were on this station from 1998-2002. It is a very popular FM station in Jackson.

For those of you not in the Jackson area, this is a MAJOR announcement! I'm absolutely thrilled to know that WNWS will be the flagship for the Jaxx this year! No offense to the other stations, but the coverage WNWS provided was absolutely spectacular.

 

Having a live Cheap Seats with Sea Bass every night is a great addition. I am confident that all of the NSBB listeners will enjoy not only listening to Sea Bass, but sending questions to him before the games.

Ron, does the move have anything to do with the caller you talked to at the end of your time on Cheap Seats a few weeks ago who suggested that not being on FM radio was a reason why the Jaxx were losing fans? At the time, it sounded like you were pretty intrigued by the suggestion.

All 140 games will be available online at http://www.wnws.com The link is easier to get to than last season's link. I can also tell you that our quality of broadcast is going to sound 1,000 times better because we are purchasing some brand new equipment. Our sound will be major league quality (hopefully the same can be said of my job this season).

 

The move has been rumored for quite a while. I'm not sure if the callers from the Cheap Seats had anything to do with the ultimate decision, but I am pleased with the move.

Halelujah!! For the longest time, I had never been able to pick up games well, but I will be able to listen to all 140 this year!! I always wondered why the Jaxx would move to an AM radio station to try to pick up more listeners. :?
