I definitely think I've got some big risks on this team that will either kill me or put me in a great position---Bonds, Maggs, Piazza could all be steals if truly healthy and playing in 130+ games.

 

Relief pitching is weak...hoping to find a closer on the wire after the first month or so.

 

What do you think? Where can I upgrade? Who should I cut immediately? Who do you think is a sleeper on this team? Likes? Dislikes? Etc. Thanks!

Is there no better second base option out there than Bill Hall? He might not play anywhere.

 

Koskie, Hardy, Weeks, and Fielder in the IF. I'd drop him pretty quickly.

Good advice. He'll get lots of at bats this season, but mostly as a PH and spot starter.

 

Find someone who will play everyday, even if they aren't all that good. Personally, I'd trade or drop Mike Piazza and find a 2b that can steal some bases. You're gonna get hurt in that department.

 

Kaz Matsui might be worth consideration. But, Tadahito Iguchi would be a real nice fit with your team.
