I like that Stevens has 5 catches for Seattle. He can be good for the team when he gets involved. He frees up Jackson and alexander.

He's only involved because Carolina refuses to cover him.

along with everyone else? ALthough they finally did get to Hasselback there. But with the ball on the 1 we will se what the panthers can do now

nothing.

3rd and 9 and Carolina runs. They're openly giving up on this game. I'm sorry, Steve Smith. Someone - ANYONE - on this team should have stepped up, but nothing. This is a terribly depressing way to lose - with no one on your team including the coaches seemingly even perturbed by it.

I don't think they've given up - they are just being physically destroyed.

If you run on 3rd and 9 when you're down 20 late in the 3rd, you've given up. I don't care where on the field you are.

It's like watching hell. Actual hell.

I've gone eight years since the last time my team won a championship - and it may never happen again.

Hey who was that guy who said that Roethlisberger would have a better career than both Eli Manning and Philip Rivers? Oh yeah, that was me. :D

Isn't the jury still out?

No, Eli Manning is a Manning, meaning he won't play well in the clutch. Rivers can't get on the field. Big Ben will have the best career, health permitting.

That play made absolutely no sense. You don't try to establish the run that far back in your own territory, particularly given how utterly futile the Panthers' running game has been.

On the other hand, the pass has been about as successful. Perhaps they figured that was the best way to keep from getting an INT/another score by the Hawks? In that way, the run did make sense.

It's pretty obvious that without Steve Smith Carolina is nothing. Too bad for us Bears fans that our coaching staff was so incompetent.

I don't think you can really say that. Jake Delhomme has been terrible today for many reasons other than the fact that Smith has been completely stopped. No protection, terrible throws, just an awful game. Plus you try to move the ball with Jamal Robertson as your RB.

We're the Giants 4th quarter specialists this season? That was the impression I had, anyway.

Come on Hawks, convert already!

Time to give credit to the Seahawks. Best game plan I've maybe ever seen by a coach. You guys were prepared for everything we could possibly do. Clearly not enough respect has been given to you.

:( This is depressing.

That's a sexy QB rating Delhomme has.

Is it in negative numbers yet? This is about the most ridiculously bad game ever played by a QB in the playoffs. Was he really at one time the greatest QB in postseason history rating-wise?

8.5 That'd be good if he were an earthquake.

by his expressions on the sidelines, it appears to be someone else's fault.

I root for the Eagles, Flyers, Sixers and Cubs. I was 5 when the Sixers won, I don't even like the NBA that much, and I don't even remember them winning that championship. I don't want to hear it from anyone who is a Bulls/Red Wings fan, I wish I had it so easy.
