Does he have to sign a deal with the A's yet? or can he still be non-tendered. I know this was discussed but I couldn't find the thread.

I doubt the A's would trade for the guy and then just non-tender him. Haven't heard anything about it though, so who knows.

I would hope they'd non-tender him, but I would imagine the A's will get something worked out.
