Scott McClain - 1B - Athletics

 

 

Athletics signed infielder Scott McClain to a minor league contract.

There was a time at which McClain would have a decent regular third baseman for a team, but he had to go to Japan to get his chance. Now he's 33 and past his prime. He'll be a fixture in the middle of Triple-A Sacramento's lineup after hitting .291/.358/.578 in 422 AB for Iowa last season. Dec. 9 - 6:49 pm et
