Cubs "Aren't Done" Looking for Relief Arms

Stanek does nothing for me. Outside of 2022 he has been mediocre to bad.  Robertson is the obvious option. 

Jed has done some very nice work this winter constructing a competitive team. I just hope the Ricketts don’t fall head over heels if the teams goes on to win 90+ games during Jed’s contract year and they extend him for the next 5 years.

Yep, the Dodgers are currently at the World Series chaser part of the offseason.

I agree. No interest in Stanek. I think they have better on the team. But if they could get Robertson that would be fine. Or if they trade for Suarez. A lefty would be good, but I feel Chafin is the only one available and he is a reverse split guy. 

Robertson worries me a bit.  I like him and I know he has been very good the past 3 seasons, but he will be 40 in April.  When is the bottom going to fall out?  But at this stage, I'm not sure there are really any better options on a 1 year deal.

Kind of surprised you dont hear the Cubs connected with Luke Jackson more. He seems right up this FO's alley and coming off a down year where his $7M option was declined, he should be rather cheap.

Yates was signed for 13m, and if he pitches 55 games its bumped to 14m.  Makes sense now why they made the Pressly trade.

I guess maybe they'll just wait out the other guys until the Cubs get their price.

I'd love Craig Kimbrel back on a minor league deal .
