    Did it mention which team is most likely? Nope, just said 1 of 3 teams. I'm listening to the score right now if I hear anything new I will def post it.

    latest Score update mentioned Jones probably on his way out to 1 of 3 teams and Cubs will likely pay for most of his salary.

    I don't think it'll come to that. I think Hendry will take less for one of those 2 to just get rid of them. Agreed. Hendry on the radio stated he isn't sending Font and Theriot down. He and the staff are really high on both of them right now. Getting rid of Izturis and Jones makes too much sense, let's hope Hendry has finally realized this.

    I can. Izturis' contract is much easier to deal with than Jones if you have to DFA them. Both are expendable.

    Roast, Izturis leaving is a real possibility. His defense has been overrated ever since he's come here. He's just isn't that good defensively. His bat obviously sucks so he's pretty much worthless. Hendry is real high on Font and Theriot and does not want to demote them to the minors. It also sounds like Fontenot was taking balls at SS yesterday. Let's hope this happens. It would be a great day getting rid of either Jones or Izturis but an even better one if both were gone. Addition by subtraction.

    Am I the only one who thinks Vasher is overrated? He's a good corner but if I had to choose between him and Tillman, I would pick Tillman. I remember there were a couple of games where Vasher missed some easy tackles and it cost us. I question his tackling ability moreso than anything else.

    Milledge is also supposed to be coming back soon from injury. If the Mets trade for Jacque it would be foolish but who cares as long as he is out of our hair.

    I was at the game last night too. Just amazing. I was so pissed to see Eyre get hammered and then Howry coming in knowing he's pitched the last two games I knew it wasn't good. Decided to stick around for the heck of it and bam the Cubs come back on them. Very exciting. A good amount of people left in the 9th before we started coughing up runs and then more left after we gave up the lead. Good thing I stayed.

    Something is going to happen soon because Hendry also said that Theriot will not be sent down. Jones' time may be really limited. Yup-with Lou's insistence that Pie will not be sent down, that only leaves Pagan and Jones, and with his versatility I'm sure management doesn't want to see Pagan down for 10 days at least. Yeah, I don't see that happening either. This might be it folks. Jones might be a goner by tonight. This could be a great day in Cubs History. Now if we can somehow get rid of Izturis.. :)

    Hendry was just on the Score a few minutes ago and North mentioned JJones to him. Hendry made it seem that him and his assistant are working on some things and then mentioned how a move will need to be made by tonight for the bullpen. Dempster on DL is a possibility but he did say he will give him a couple days to see how he responds before he goes on the DL so that being said, I think there's a good chance Jones is finally out of here and hopefully by tonight.

    Agreed. The guy didn't even deserve to make the team out of spring training. Our bullpen has done better lately, last thing we want to do is make it worse by bringing back guys who suck.

    How the hell can we catch up the Brewers when they are a more complete team than us? We have a bunch of bozos on our team.

    Hendry isn't going to rebuild Nope. He's going to trade away what's left in the crappy farm system to bring in another reliever and Ken Griffey Jr., and we'll finish the year in 2nd place in the division with a .500 record. The farm system will be shot for years to come, but it'll be worth it. I can see that happening.

    ? He has been having a rough time with 3B of late. Is this really accurate? I'm asking this to anyone...I've seen him bobble a couple of plays, but he's had at the very least twice as many stellar grabs and saves. I think he's looked pretty good and has made some really nice plays. He did have 2 errors but considering he hasn't been there full time you can't expect much more.
