Here we go again, jump all over Hendry and give Lou a pass. All of these negative posts about Hendry's decision to call up Patterson over Murton are ridiculous. I'm sure Lou told Hendry who to call up. For all of Hendry's flaws, allowing the manager to make all of the personnel decisions might be his biggest flaw. Yeah, I will jump on Hendry because he is a terrible GM like it or not. If Lou is calling the shots or Hendry it doesn't matter, it is still a terrible move.

Too bad Murton will be a goner soon anyway. I don't like it but he's on his way out of this organization.

It's not like he was doing kartwheels out there. It was a pretty innocent little bunny hop which he's probably been doing since the first day he was playing in the outfield. If he strained his calf on something like that it was bound to happen sooner or later. What is more concerning isn't his bunny hops in the outfield but how is legs may be starting to break down (see hamstring last year) and what this means for this season and the 6 after. This contract wasn't Zito dumb but it was awfully stupid. Agreed. The guy for the most part has been healthy throughout his career, he signs a ridiculous contract and he's already breaking down. I hate that he's here.

Well, I'm going against the grain here. If I was Steinbrenner I would dig up the damn shirt too. I'm not really a superstitious person but the last thing I would need is to hear from the media is about the "curse of the shirt" every time my team would collapse or miss the playoffs. No thanks -
Last year was definitely not smoke and mirrors for Lilly. I'm more concerned about his loss of velocity this year than anything else. Still early to panic though and that's what bothers me of moving Hill in the pen. Lou's veteran fetish is up there with Dusty Baker's.
