  1. This team is a damn joke. Can't even do the necessary simple things.
  2. Well from what I have heard, When someone goes on waivers he must be offered to their division first meaning from worst to first in the NL and THEN offered from worst to first in the AL....That means all teams would have to pass on him for the whitesox get a shot....surely someone like the yankees or astros would claim him b4 the sox get the shot. ps how is my new sig..is it smaller....how do you even tell if it is 4megs? Right-click on the sig and then select properties. According to what it says your current sig is 200k.
  3. I hope Borowski can keep it up, that way he is sure to get a new contract for another team next year. The man needs to feed his family.
  4. Boroughs can hit for avg but the problem is he cannot steal many bases and he has never found his power. Not your prototypical 3B by today's standards. Basically, the Padres feel it is time to move on.
  5. Thanks for the medical analysis... are you talking about roids or taking a cold shower? What do you think I'm talking about smart ass.
  6. There's no way in heck any of these players ahve taken roids without knowing. How can you not know when 1. you feel different, and 2. your balls shrink. It's load of crap.
  7. It's pretty clear that we would have accepted a trade of sand for sammy sosa and he would've been gone.
  8. This is crazy. We def have other players on the 25man I would rather see be put on waivers than Hairston.
  9. 22 starts, 24ER...wow :!: Those numbers are ridiculous.
  10. Who cares if Dempster sweats. He got the job done and has been a godsend to us compared to Latroy.
  11. Thank you, I made the same comments in the game thread. Pitchers are not scared of Burnitz, but they are scared of ARam. This change will minimize Lee's walks.
  12. I'm not going to fault Baker for not having somebody warm up fast enough. I agree with the other poster that in that situation we should indeed leave Dempster in. There were two things that bothered me about this game. The Burnitz blunder. It looks like Burnitz and Alou have become friends and gave each other pointers on baserunning. 2, it's time to put ARam behind Lee instead of Burnitz. Lee is getting walked wayyy too much lately and one reason is because Burnitz is behind him. Burni doesnt exactly strike fear to hitters but ARam sure as heck does. Baker needs to make that move, and forget about that lefty, righty crap.
  13. Dempster has balls of steel. Why is Burnitz stil behind Lee? it should be ARam, especialy now that they are walking Lee a lot. Baker needs to make that move. Good game. Great win!
  14. I think Polanco is good so this is a good move by the Tigers.
  15. For what it's worth Stone this morning on the score said he was to come up soon.
  16. Although the NL hasnt seen Takatsu yet its pretty clear what you do to beat him. Sit on the fastball and smack it as hard as you can.
  17. If I was the GM of the Reds the last person I would get rid of would be Dunn, but I would trade either Pena or Kearns though since I feel like there is no way they get rid of Griffey's contract.
  18. Not even close.
  19. Maybe it was requested by him? He probably feels that he has enough to help another team.
  20. See, that's what has been bothering me for the longest time. Not only did Hendry not do anything to the OF he made it worse during the off-season. And since no trades were made for a significant upgrade we dont really have many options this off-season either since this crop is weak. I dont know about you but I would rather NOT give Giles a 3 year deal and have him here until he's forty. Burnitz is another year older and his contract next year is not exactly for peanuts. Too many holes on this team, and a HUGE question mark in the OF. EDIT: Giles would be 35 so a 3 year deal will make sure he here when hes 38.
  21. They have been wanting him for quite some time now and they finally got him.
  22. hahaha what? we clearly upgraded in left, and gave up virtually nothing at all. how can you say you are happier staying put? I wouldnt say that we gave up nothing for Lawton.
