    Seriously though, I'm getting so SICK of hearing about Wood's mechanics. All of a sudden Stone the pip-squeak says something about Wood's mechanics and it has blown up to the point where it is ridiculous. Wood is what he is. He will not change his mechanics at the age of 28-29.

    I honestly believe this statement by itself is grounds for firing a manager.     The same Benitez who has 15 IP this year? Yes, the same one. Like I said, you do not know how it would've turned out if he was a Cub. If you say that, then someone can just as easily say "you do not know how it would've turned out if Wood, Prior, and Nomar wouldn't have gotten hurt". Considering that all 3 spent significant time on the DL the previous year, you can assume it's a possibility. As it was a pretty good possibility that Drew was going to get hurt also. That is true, although he wasnt the only OF available.

    I doubt Walker goes. I'm sure Hendry is asking for alot. It's probably best he stats, especially considering there are zero 2b options this year.

    We would've been a better team if we signed Beltran or Drew and also Benitez. I dont want to hear the injuries as an excuse because you do not know if they would be injured as Cubs. My motto for the offseason was Benitez or bust. Doesn't matter at this point. Let's hope Hendry figures it out and puts a winner together unlike this year.

    baker seems to be the last person to realize that this current group of stiffs isn't winning, hasn't won and will continue to not win. since when does playing your worst players = trying to win? At this point we all know what Dusty is.

    Bruce Levine was just on ESPN radio and said that the only way Walker is traded is if the team is willing to give up somebody good for him. An average player wont do it. This could be a minor leaguer or a ready mlb player but it wont be done unless he's good.

    What is neifis OBP compared to Hairston? How many ABs has Neifi had compared to Hairston. How many SBs? Runs? SOrry, I dont buy that Perez has been better.

    No offense to Williamson, but hopefully his arm falls off just enough so that Hendry won't re-sign him, but not enough to prevent another team from signing him. Williamson is a damn good pitcher. He just came back from tommy-john and he should be good next year. Some say he was rushed so just be patient with him. He is very good.
