  1. Livan's had a couple good seasons, but is average at best over the course of his career.
  2. Look at pitches (specifically the pitches Prior threw as he tired and his mechanics altered). Pitcher abuse is a great stat to look at. Especially when it was Prior's first season throwing anywhere near that many innings. It's a good stat, but I'd like to see how many innings the non-Cubs at the top of the list pitch every year and what their performance is. I can tell you Livan Hernandez throws a lot of innings/pitches a year and really isn't that good.
  3. Perhaps this is what Dusty means when he's always talking about "finishing the job." Prior, Wood, and Z. Z needs to be less stubborn and just get it over with.
  4. HCA in the NBA is just ridiculous.
  5. Wade has a lotta MJ in him.
  6. Priest Holmes will need to be traded to have much value. LJ is a top 3 pick.
  7. I'll be shocked if we get three off Verlander, Zumaya, Rodney, and Jones. Nonetheless, this is a contest I'd love to see. stupid work.
  8. Tim, have the DL spots been added yet? Or are we to keep 'stashing' them on the minors roster until they open up?
  9. Take Pap for Glavine.
  10. Potential playoff teams that could use Walker's bat at second: Oakland San Francisco Mets (This seems most likely)
  11. That man was Kelvim Escobar, I believe.
  12. Line drive off Buehrle's head plz.
  13. Dusty hates winning.
  14. Ginn or AD will go numero uno. But that's a different argument :D
  15. We need another guy who can't stay healthy? I'll take Drew while I'm at it. You're setting yourself up for lots of Neifi and Bynum.
  16. The Heat are a really dumb team.
  17. I'd save it for a guy like Alex Gordon. I passed on E. Encarnacion AND Huff (while playing Freel at 3b this entire time nonetheless) hopin he becomes available at some point.
  18. Jose Lopez is the American League's best kept secret. Better player than Cuddyer. When in doubt, always go with the better player.
  19. I'd love to see some old fashion rioting. Probably the only way I'd watch. go usa.
  20. I've been keeping an eye on his numbers everyday for a few weeks now, and this kid is absolutely amazing. He's sitting at .388 as of right now with a sick OBP and overall OPS from a catcher. Would anyone trade him straight up for Prior at this point? (NOTE I AM NOT ADVOCATING TRADING MARK PRIOR, BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, THE TWINS 'CHEAP' DECISION IS TURNING OUT WELL FOR THEM AS THEY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST HITTERS IN BASEBALL.) Disclaimer was necessary.
  21. Cards fans decide!!! And if you're a rational Cubs fan, you can vote too.
  22. I beat you to that prediction. That's how the Cards deal. They don't like to give up their key prospects and players, and they don't. Daric Barton and Dan Haren for Mark Mulder? Curses, Mark. Curses. Mulder made the Cards a better team than they would have been with Haren. We'll see this year. Mulder is very streaky. Barton in the big leagues before he is anything. Mulder and Haren had nearly identical numbers last season. Haren was doing it for roughly the league minimum, while Mulder's salary was much greater. The A's bent over the Joker on that one.
