yeah, gotta love how he forgot how to hit for power the moment he signed a contract with the cubs. Somehow, I think we all knew that was going to happen.
Under. Under. We score 2 after a dp and a strikeout. No, no. The Cubs will score four runs, have the bases loaded with nobody out, and will record three straight outs without another run scoring.
As bad as Barrett has been, I don't see any better options in our system or free agency. I'd rather see a tandem of Blanco and Soto. Barrett is less than worthless. He is actively hurting the team. In the past you could argue that Barrett's offensive punch made up for his lack of defensive awareness. You can't make that argument any longer. How is a Soto-Blanco pairing that much worse than Barrett?
I'd never thought I see the 2004 team topped, but it pretty much has so far. With this talent in this division the players should be embarrased. With the talent the Cubs have, this division should be a freakin' cakewalk.
His whip must be through the roof Before today it was 2.44. It's even higher now, which is just hard to contemplate. If Eyre really tries, I bet he can make it to 3.0.
Can someone tell me when we're going to get the "angry old man" Piniella, the screaming at umpires, kicking dirt, throwing bases around the infield variety? It seems all we got was the "old [expletive]" Piniella.
