    This gives us hope that Izturis is overvalued and we can get something for him.

    Wells would be your impact bat and he will likely take more than Izturis to get. Would Pie and Izturis be worth it? Maybe a couple minor league pitchers and Izturis and they send us an overpriced player too. They waived Hillenbrand and Wells just declined an extension.

    I would see if what the trade market would be like for Izturis in the offseason. If you can get an OF or starting pitcher for him then move Cedeno back to SS. Then find a table setter type for 2B. Move Jones to CF and platoon him with Pagan. Keep Murton in LF (or RF) and hope he develops more. Maybe sign Nevin for the bench. Maybe sign Cattalano. My ideal situation would be trade Izturis for Vernon Wells and sign Schmidt and some undervalued 2B. Who would overvalue Isturis' defense?

    Check the 24 Season 5 thread. Carlos Bernard was in the game. It was actually taped on Sunday. The whole Jimmy Kimmel/ Sarah Siverman dating was overplayed.

    The offer is the All star game shirt and hat or one of those teams listed. I already bought the 4 12 packs of Pepsi for $8. It takes 12 weeks for delivery. Pepsi is the official soft drink of MLB.

    They say you should reserve your best reliever for the 9th, but it really is just a way to get the best reliever the save opportunities so that he can have the best stats and earn his salary. Similar to having your best hitter in the #3 slot to give him RBI opportunities.

    what's Deon Sanders doing these days, the Cubs need a center fielder.

    In NL the CF usually needs to cover more ground to make up for the slow corner OF. In the AL the slowest guy can be the DH and each OF can cover the ground that a slower CF (but better hitter) can't. It also allows for a bit more flexiblity year to year. A team can sign a player even though they already have a player for that position, one of them can be DH.
