  1. By platooning Walker (.211 BA vs. LHP), Dusty is trying to artificially inflate Walker's averages in order to make him a more attractive trade commodity. OK, that's probably not what Dusty is thinking, but that would be kind of shrewd.
  2. Here comes the win streak. Dusty has his horses and they want to save his job. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/freejju/stock-horses-05.jpg
  3. 2 more than 100 That means he is good for another 25 pitches. Go get em Dusty.
  4. C: Dusty Baker 1B: Darren Baker 2B: That 12 pound bass Dusty caught on Lake Okeechobee last October and had mounted over his fireplace 3B: Pat Sajack SS: Neifi, duh LF: Gene Clines CF: Yosh Kawano RF: King Kong Bundy SP: Steve Nebraska RP: Chet Steadman
  5. Wow. So, if Pierre continues his retched season, Hendry is gonna offer him arbritration in hopes of getting a draft pick? What happens when he accepts and gets $9M/year? More and more I am fully convinced that Juan Pierre will eventually be re-signed. Lets face it, he is bound to hit better than he has (as he has shown of late) and by the end of it, he'll probably settle into a .280/.330 (BA/OBP) line. That will be good enough for Jim Hendry (with shades of Lance Johnson gallivanting before his eyes) to sign Juan Pierre to a minimum 3 year contract. Never will Hendry want to admit a mistake, and if JP gives him even the slightest incentive, he'll have Juan Frenchy re-signed to a deal quicker than you can say Jack Robinson.
  6. Dusty did his damndest best to try to destroy Z's arm by bringing him out to pitch the 7th after he complained of having knee pain. If I were conspiratorial in nature, I'd accuse Dusty of being some kind of anti-Cub cyborg sent back in time in order to destroy the arms of the Cubs' young pitching prodigies. He's done his best so far (Kerry Wood, perhaps Mark Prior); but Carlos Zambrano still seems to be beyond his grasp.
  7. Dusty leads his horses to victory! Ride 'em Cowboy!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/freejju/stock-horses-05.jpg
  8. I am not going to lie, I hope the Cubs find a way to blow this.
  9. This is going to be the game that gets Dusty fired.
  10. Whoever the guy is who is stealing signs needs to be given a raise.
  11. what there's a guy in the center field lounge and the cubs have radios in their helmets??? DJ there was nobody on base! The Cubs now have wireless technology, it's all starting to come together.
  12. You can put it on the boar.... Oh wait, it was Neifi Perez. He just bought himself more playing time. This sucks.
  13. How do they figure out how not to score in this situation.
  14. Poor Ronny. This season is either going to kill him or make him insane.
  15. Pierre's BA (and OBP) creeping up. He'll settle around .280/.330 and be re-signed to a 3 year deal.
  16. God, I hate Hawk and his junior sock puppet.
