if he were a cub, he'd lose it with 2 outs. If he were a Cub, he'd lose it with two outs and then would go on to surrender the lead. -

because he's lefty A Jones did them a favor I understand why he did it, although with a tiring Zambrano, he could have brought in Eyre and double-switched in Theriot to lead-off.

I just posted Miller's PC on the last page....70 through 3 Maddux is 50 through 3. Maddux efficient as usual. That's really not that efficient. That'll put him at 100 thru 6, and we complain all the time about Cubs pitcjers being at 100+ after 6. And considering Maddux starts to tire after 90, that is not efficient at all.

If Miller can go 5 alllowing 3, that is probably better than I would have expected. Of course, he needs 2 more scoreless innings to get there.
