  1. Surprised Boyd didn't ring Barrett up on that ball 4.
  2. Boyd tried his best to prevent Barrett from making that play. Barrett should have steamrolled him.
  3. I'm calling it early...game. I just hope Lou comes out, flips off the home plate ump, and gives him the Stone Cold Stunner.
  4. Jacque's throw is off target. Hmmm, never seen that before.
  5. Is he good, or are the Cubs bad? Seems to me, he's throwing hittable pitches.
  6. Very happy to get out of that inning with just one run. Good job Lilly.
  7. I love Baseball Reference and it continues to get better and better. Now if they could just combine Baseball Reference's layout and functionality with Baseball Cube's expanded database of college, minor league, and Japanese stats (as well as high school and draft info), it would be the ultimate.
  8. Goats of the game...(pick one)... Wade Miller: 4 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, wasn't fooling anyone Mark DeRosa: 0-4, 4 SO, 4 LOB, throwing error Ronny Cedeno: 0-4, made the first and last out in the 4 run 6th, the final out being with the bases loaded Scott Eyre: 1 IP, 3 ER on triple by Counsell to put the game out of reach
  9. After that triple, I was kind of hoping that Eyre would stay in the game and get knocked around some more. But no, he gets out of the inning after he put the game out of reach.
  10. Big win today. Dempster continues his assault on the all-time Cub save leaderboard. 1. Lee Smith 180 2. Bruce Sutter 133 3. Randy Myers 112 4. Don Elston 63 5. Ryan Dempster 61 6. Phil Regan 60 7. Rod Beck 58 8. Mitch Williams 52 9. Joe Borowski 44 10. Charley Root 40
  11. I don't know, he seems to do alright in cheap save situations.
  12. Nice job of Soriano calling off DeRosa, I was expecting a collision.
  13. I like the contrast of gun-toting Z wearing a breast cancer awareness ribbon.
  14. you mean Todd Walker wasn't good with the glove at first base???? I, for one, do not miss Phil Nevin.
  15. I don't mind leaving him in for one more batter, but that's just me.
  16. I love the fact that Brewers traded for Dessens. Not only was he traded for Brady Clark, who kills the Cubs, but he is also Elmer Dessens.
