    Who decides if he gets to play, the team manager? Or is there some sort of committee that put the team together? Man I really hope that Bonds isn't allowed to represent our country.

    What evidence do we have about Sing being worthless against lefties? I can't find his splits for last year, but he hit just .202 and had an OBP under .300 against lefties in '04. As of 9-2-05, Brandon was hitting .279 (39/140) with a .521 SLG and .385 OBP against lefties. He had 8 HRs, 26 RBI, 26 walks, 32 K's. Against righties as of 9-2 Brandon was hitting .280 (73-261) with a .559 SLG and ..416 OBP. He had 18 HRs, 45 RBI, 63 walks, 74 K's. Wow, that's a huge improvement from the previous year. Where'd you find his splits?

    Sing is worthless against lefties, so he wouldn't make a good platoon partner with Jones. And I don't see where he'd get any other playing time. I voted for Grissom, but I'm not opposed to Pagan making the team.

    What if Barry never did roids? Could you imagine what he's going through right now? I'm not saying he never did roids. Personally, I think he's been on roids for several years. But it is interesting to consider the possibility that he never was on steroids.

    I got that book for Christmas, and only read a few chapters. Did it get any better after the first few? I found it to be pretty boring, from what I did read.

    Isn't anyone above 75% considered to be an effective base stealer? A lot of people see 75% as the break-even line, meaning 3 stolen bases balances out 1 caught stealing. 77% may make it worth it, but it's not exactly good. What would you consider good?

    CC Sabiatha dropped out. And Leiter was the next best option? He was freaking horrible last year, there's no way he should be on this roster.

    There's an enormous amount of people who apparantly think he didn't, or who think it's perfectly fine for him to have done it. And it's quite possible that crimes were committed, possibly even lying to feds/grand jury. You don't have to read the book or the article, or the threads that talk about either. But don't tell people not to talk about a relevent topic. The head in the sand mentality is what got baseball in the problem in the first place. Simply moving on from here while ignoring the past will only add to the problem. So you'd rather hear about this than the WBC or Spring Training? That was my whole point - that I'm sick of this Bonds crap taking headlines from the game on the field.

    I agree. I'm sick of hearing about this crap. We have the WBC and Spring Training going on, with Opening Day not too far off. Yet we're still hearing about Bonds and his freaking roids. Everyone knows he juiced, just shut up about it already!

    Heck ya dude, i've got the Spice Girls on in the background and i'm going to see Titanic with my woman tonite :-) The only way you could enjoy that is if she looked like the girl on the extreme left of your sig. Wow. The girl on the far right is much hotter.

    Junior is hitting 3rd?! What is this, 1997? No way he should be hitting 3rd on this team.

    Again, this isn't his funeral. Why can't people talk about him openly? Why do people have to pretend he was some great person and not have the opportunity to discuss what kind of human he was? You can talk about whatever you like, but some people have respect for the deceased and don't use his death as an opportunity to talk badly about him.
