    That's what I was wondering. If I recall wasn't that a big part of the reason he signed such a reasonable contract? I think in the end the Red Sox will see the bigger benefits of this trade. Pena definitely has some big potential, unfortunately he is going into another situation where there isn't guaranteed playing time. It does appear as though Freel's in line for some additional playing time. Freel should have been the everyday 2B. But apparently, the Reds were talking about Tony Womack being the man. That in itself shows how crappily that organization is run. In fairness to the Reds, Freel has had an absolutely pathetic ST. .103/.186/.154 I like Freel a lot, but even I wouldn't be in a hurry to hand him a job after a dismal start to the baseball year.

    Didn't Boston all but gaurantee Arroyo that they wouldn't trade him after he took less money to stay there? I'd be PISSED if I were him.

    If Hendry is adamant about trading Walker, then I hope he deals him for a starter. With that in mind, what teams could use Walker and would be willing to give up a starter for him?

    Quick quiz... which team came closest to taking Wade and Marquette out before their eventual loss to Kansas? Answer - Holy Cross, which lost to them by 4 points in the first round. I don't know about that. Mizzou took them to overtime in the second round that year.

    That's always the way it is on Saturday of the first weekend. They show a quadrupleheader, but there's only one game during the early time. I don't really like it that way, since there's no other game to switch to if the game turns into a blowout (it wouldn't matter to me anyway; since Duke is a local team they'd stick with it regardless of how ugly it might get). Sunday is only a tripleheader, so CBS can show its usual primetime lineup. who wouldn't want to watch Duke? :roll: if we thank God for small miracles, one is that Vitale doesn't work for CBS I could not put up with an entire weekend of Dick Vitale. CBS tried to convince ESPN to let him call some games this year, but they declined. Thank God.

A fan of a program so bad, they can only celebrate other peoples' failures. Right, like you kU guys don't root against Mizzou. Don't be mad at me for being happy that your team got embarrassed in the NCAA Tourney again.

    I don't watch much college b-ball til the Tourney rolls around, but based on today's game I have to say that MSU is just a stupid team.

    Opting for Greg Maddux over Vlad Guerrero was a horrible idea and message board geeks everywhere knew it even at the time. A lot of things have gone wrong in the past few years but that Maddux contract is the one that sticks out in my mind. We had nearly 30 million tied up between Sosa and Alou when Vlad was a FA... how exactly did you expect Hendry to sign Vlad when we we didn't have a place for him?

    A .355 guy (Walker) is also much preferred over a .340 guy. I don't think Matos is a bad player, but he's not necessary. Well, I guess he could be a good guy to have in case Murton tanks, but outside of that, what's the point?

    I don't know what the cheapest is, but Dugout Box seats for prime games are 250 bucks, and I'm pretty sure those are the most expensive.
