    If Lee's out for 8-10 weeks, let's see what it would take to get Todd Helton. While you're probably saying that tongue-in-cheek, what do you do with 'em when Lee gets back? No, I'm completely serious. When Lee returns, stick Helton in right or left field.

Someone else brings up Pujols being 46, and I'M the one that wants to argue? What's the point in saying something like that? If it were original, I might see the humor in it. At this point, it's just stupid. No, it wasn't just that post. Every post I see from you, you're arguing with someone. Every single time. I guess I just don't see the point in a Cardinals fan coming to a Cubs site if she's just going to argue all the time.

    I wonder if I can get the bartenders to turn the Cubs game on tonight. Their tip will depend on it. Z really needs to have a great start. But for some reason, I'm not confident that he will.

    I'd be open to a one year contract with a mutual option for the second year. The only starters that we know will be here next year are Prior and Zambrano. I'd really rather not have three rookies or a combination of rookies and crappy free agent starting pitchers. Assuming Maddux doesn't suddenly break down and pitch even worse than he did last year, resign him. Absolutely.

    It's gotta suck being 40-something and not having the roids anymore. I've seen at least three balls that were caught on the warning track... last year, with the roids, those were probably home runs.

    shhh don't let Rocket know about that record. ha, i really don't know anything about that record. i'm assuming most consecutive saves by a cub? to tie the record tonight... is it 32 or 33 straight (the record) I'm pretty sure it's in the lower 20's. 23 maybe?

    Watch LA sign him next season. Nah, he's only been on the DL once in his career... he doesn't fit LA's criteria.

    What was he, 1-9? Yeah, they didn't even show his avg before the game...just showed him 1-8... And if he gets hits in his next three AB's, the Lofton apologists will come out saying, "see he doesn't suck!" and the BABIP police will come out with the "sample size" argument ;) I don't know why, but that really made me laugh.
