Ozzie Smith and LaRussa in pi**ing match.

Ozzie blew Royce away in ST that year, and the better player during that time was supposed to be the starter that season. LaRussa went ahead and started Royce anyways, and Ozzie has been pissed ever since. And I can't blame him. -
I'd try him 3rd right now. Sixth is too low for our best hitter (even if he's not hitting like it right now) to be.

He raised his OPS 125 points in the last two days. I don't know what that means, but it's true.

Okay. 1....2....3....GO" So, if someone taps your shoulder, you turn and they punch you, have you been sucker punched? After all, you were looking at him/her when the punch was thrown. Fair warning could be as simple as "I'm going to kick your ***". It doesn't take much. Barrett gave no fair warning. You say that like he should have done so. What did you want him to say? "Hey dude, I don't appreciate what you just did so I think I'm going to punch you. Are you okay with that?" Come on, get real.

Am I the only one that thinks the length of Barrett's suspension is ridiculous? Russ Springer got 4 games for throwing at Bonds... for throwing a baseball at him... and Barrett gets 10 games for punching someone? MLB is saying that it's worse to punch a guy than to freaking throw at him? That's crap, man!

10 games? That seems a bit harsh. Didn't Robby Alomar get 10 games for spitting in an ump's face? I don't remember players getting 10 games for fighting, but I could be wrong.

When/where did Hill compare himself to Koufax? I've never heard of that before.

What are you, the president of his fan club? What other fan clubs of crappy pitchers are you a member of so I know to not say anything bad about them in fear of hurting your feelings? His 2nd and 3rd outtings were bad, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. His 2nd start he gave up 5 runs in 6+ innings... but Baker shouldn't have sent him out for the 7th because... why exactly? He finished the start with 100 pitches thrown, so a high pitch count obviously wasn't the issue. What was it? And in his third start he allowed 3 runs in 5 and a third, but he also walked five guys. That's a poor outting. And, of course, in his first and last starts, he got rocked beyond belief. He had three very good outtings last year? Two or three, sure. But he also had 6 absolutely horrible outtings last year. So he pitched well 25-33% of the time. Should I be impressed by that? Rich Hill sucks.

I don't disagree with anything that Hawk said about Marrioti... that's just ridiculously unprofessional for an announcer to say that about a person. Wow, Barrett! Wow, Jones! Wow, Jones off of a lefty! Wow Cubs!!!

Rich Hill has sucked because the Cubs haven't made him feel like he'll be around for awhile, regardless of how he pitches? Umm... what?! He's has four starts in the rotation this year - and they've all been horrible outtings. Not one of them has been close to a good outting. Until he does something, ANYTHING, to convince me otherwise, I'll be looking forward to his demotion back to Iowa.

I'd settle for seeing him win one. here's a fun fact...how many runs have the cubs scored in hill's four losses? 1 (that's combined) pretty sure it wouldn't matter much if hill had an era of 8 or 1...the offense is the problem, not rich hill. That doesn't change the fact that Rich Hill flat out sucks. he's thrown 40 major league innings. there may be some people who can predict the ability of a pitcher after that long, but you aren't one of them. In the 43 major league innings that he's thrown, his ERA is over NINE and he's walked just as many hitters as he's struck out. Based on his time in the majors, it's easy to say that he sucks. Badly.

I didn't see it, but apparently Anderson went to town on him, and he fought back in true Tavarez style. You mean he karate kicked him? Whats with this hatred of Mabry? I hate him more than EVERYONE ELSE believe me, but he actually took Anderson to town from what I saw. Anderson gave a weak swing, Mabry ducked under it and drove him to the ground. Then they got covered with players, so I couldn't tell. How could you have possibly inferred from my posts that I hate Mabry?
