  1. The team is getting 95 million to play like this along with the 4 Baker makes. This is a whole organizational overpayed mess.
  2. I hope the Cubs send Clines down to fix that problem.
  3. Uh oh...now Hendry will think that Hunter is the missing piece to the puzzle.
  4. Dusty bought all of them. That's one strange man love he has for Neifi. Maybe the two of them can double date with Guillen and Moriotti?
  5. He knows this is a sinking ship and you're right....it's nice to hear. I'm sure this will mean the Cubs will be on WGN 5-10 times next year because of the really mean things Bob has said.
  6. Well of course. Once you're a member of the Baker Country Club you are a member for life.
  7. Neifi's throw was absolutely horrible on that play. Even if Ramirez was in position, he wouldn't have been able to field that throw. I think you're wrong. Ramirez should have been on the other side of the bag and closer to it. Neifi gets no sympathy from me. Trying to turn a double play while backpedaling. What a clown! I just defend the play that just happened and not what already happened before that! :D
  8. Neifi's throw was absolutely horrible on that play. Even if Ramirez was in position, he wouldn't have been able to field that throw. I think you're wrong. Ramirez should have been on the other side of the bag and closer to it. I'm not denying that Ramirez botched his end of it, but I think Neifi is equally responsible for botching that sucker. The thing is if Ramirez is where he's suppose to be and not moving it's an easier throw. These little things are what the Cards do a lot better than the Cubs do....winning teams do.
  9. Bet the Cubs' next move is to fire Brenly. His embarassing the Cubs live is the reason they are losing.

  11. Neifi makes a heck of a play and Ramirez gets caught out of postion.
  12. The Primas can't yell at Bob like they did Steve. They deserve the blame just like they did when Steve called them out on it but they won a couple of games when Stone did it so they had a little power. Somebody has to take charge and stop being these clowns buddy.
  13. Say it ain't so Neifi....say it ain't so!!!
  14. This has always been a pet peeve of mine. Players that think they are good and act like prima donnas while they are of average ability.
  15. And ran hard out of the box....just kidding.
  16. How many pitches is Marshall at Fred? 94 Thanks Blue. I'm glad Baker took him out even though I think it was a batter too late. Yeah he got the K but his mechanics changed as did the pitches.
  17. No, they need Brenley as manager calling out their mistakes. I thought that one of Bobs "qualities" was that he was a players manager? That is fine if he can call out mistakes too and make the players accountable.
  18. This frustrates me even more because if Hendry did his job the Cubs would have been in contention while waiting for Prior and possibly Wood. It's time ....way past time for a sweeping change.
  19. Hanks' fly ball reminded me of my old wiffle ball days!
  20. As much as people here have been drooling over Marshall, his numbers have not been all that good this season. He's handled himself well, all things considered, but I don't think he's proven much more than any other pitching prospect in this system. I mean, for heaven's sake, his ERA is 4.92 with an away ERA of 6.53! That's just dreadful. We'll he's young...He barely pitched AA ball. Look at Maddux stats his first year... Look, I'm as big of a fan of the young guys and minor leaguers as anyone else on this site, but people around here have weird double standards. Some people have been yapping about how Marmol and Marshall are better than Hill, when in reality I don't think any of those three guys stand out above each other. A number of people on this site seem to be operating under the assumption that Marshall has been performing quite well this season despite evidence to the contrary. There's plenty of promise for the future, but for right now, Marshall has just as much to work on as Marmol and Hill do when it comes to making the necessary adjustments to being a good major league pitcher. Face it, he hasn't had a good season. I don't know why a number of people on here have not accepted that yet. I'd like to see Hill and Guz out there too and trade Maddux and give him a chance to win somewhere. Move Marmol to closer in Iowa and move Dempster to a contender and then call Marmol up.
  21. All depends....were the Neifi jersey's sold out and on back order?
