I don't think DeRosa can be traded until June 1st or something like that. I think he meant Izturis, Jones, Theriot, Cedeno, or others. Yep, the the ticket I was shooting for! This way the Cubs still have depth when they aquire ARod.

Wisconsin hasn't beat a team with less than 4 losses all year. You can only play the teams on your schedule. Their BCS ranking would normally qualify for a BCS game. The BCS takes SoS into account. I don't know what else to tell you. I understand what you're saying but they should at least play one BCS school team. They scheduled Bowling Green, Western Illinois, SD State and Buffalo. Plus, Syracuse can't even schedule Buffalo because teams like Auburn and Wisconsin offer them too much money according to the Buffalo AD. I thought Big East teams only wanted to play first place teams from BCS conferences. At least the 3 top teams scheduled Miami, North Carolina, Kansas St, Maryland, Miss St, Illinois, and Kentucky. You can't control what a team is going to be like when you schedule these things but all these teams have been to bowls in the past 5 years or are this year. Scheduling 4 cream puff almost D2 schools is just getting 4 easy wins before the conference season starts.

Don't you mean 31-36 mil? 110 minus 79 is 31 and 115 minus 79 is 36. Man, if we could find someone to take our dead weight (Dempster, Izturis, Jones, Rusch retire, maybe Eyre) we'd have a ton of money to spend. I wonder if Rusch's contract might be a writeoff due to his illness? -
I believe A-Rod when he says he doesn't want to be traded. Everything I know of him tells me he's a competitor and wants to prove to the Yankees and their fans that he belongs there. But if goes to the Cubs and wins there he can prove he wasn't the problem, plus a chance to play SS.

For now you are correct, but there are still three more weekends left in the season, so who knows if anyone will still deserve a shot then? You're right, there is a lot of time left so we'll see how it falls.

If Michigan wins, doesn't that help ND's SOS even more, even though they lost? I don't think the computers take into account rematches. BTW, I am now kinda hoping for a rematch in the NC game. I remember how fun it was in 1996 with FSU and Florida I didn't see that game as fun. I think if a team blows it's chance another should get one. These teams only play 12 games and IMO there is no reason to play a team twice.

I've always enjoyed this battle between these two but IMO Army/Navy is always THEE rivalry game of the year. If Michigan wins that knocks out ND/Ohio State from the BCS Championship game and an Ohio St win knocks out Michigan/Texas because in no way should this game be a rematch after so many other teams deserve a shot.

If OSU puts up 38 on Michigan's bad ass defense we should just crown their ass this saturday and forget about a NCG. Tressel is a great coach. Very underrated nationally but no way are they putting up 38. If they couldnt do more than 25 last year against Michigans sorry defense, they aint gonna do it this year unless Henne gives them 2 pick sixes and they turn the ball over like mad. That's because Tressel used to be an assistant at Syracuse! :D

Aren't they showing less games on TV? I think it'll break out even if they charge fans to watch on PPV or whatever they have that fans have to pay to see them play. -
I can't root against Mike Hart but if Ohio State losses this whole thing (BCS) will go into chaos.

Isn't Arizona always ranked high early....lose a bunch of games early in the season and then get hot and have high expectations in the NCAA's and lose early again?

The title says it all. Sosa deny's that steroids were the REASON for his success but I don't see that he denys using them. -
Bradley 13-25 from 3. That's the thing about that shot, if it falls you have a good chance of winning. I think I'll like your Big East talk much more during basketball season. :wink: At least the Good Old Boys don't decide who gets to play for the championship in basketball. Regarding ND in the Big East, I want them out if they don't play at least 2 BE teams in football and I've been on record saying how much I dispise this 16 team thing even though I'd like to know how the other confernces feel about it since they have 3 to 4 more teams in football. They can't cry about it in basketball and be happy about it in football. Well, you'll be glad to know that Kevin White has already made public that ND is committing to play three Big East teams in football each season. Of course, it'll be a few years before they can start that because their schedules are made so far in advance, but they will be doing it. I remember him saying that before and I was hoping he'd stick with it. I'm thrilled that this is going to happen because I just get annoyed at this 16 team basketball thing.

I t looks as if Hendry is going to let Pierre go which would be wonderful but who is he going to go to for leadoff? Soriano? If he gets Drew that would make the leadoff spot open again. I just hope he doesn't go after another prototype leadoff guy again and Lou might have some influance regarding this, I hope.
