    I don’t mind the Brewers, especially when playing the BFIBs.

    I watched a little bit of Perez against the Phillies last Sunday. While he only gave up the one run, he was dangerously close to giving up a hell of a lot more. In 5.1 inn8ngs, he gave up 8 hits and 3 BBS. Made some good pitches when needed and was bailed out twice with a DP. If I recall, the ump was pretty generous with the corners. I guess good pitchers are the ones that get out of jams with minimal damage, if any.

    I know it’s not his true position/first position, but Morel has started 50 games in CF in the Bigs just last year and played in a total of 57. I’m not that verse in defensive metrics (other than the basic Fld%) but I don’t know that he’s a liability out there. I know Ross mentioned that Morel needs to play/bat everyday, so bringing him up as a bench player is not an option. But he plays enough positions that between DH and subbing a player or two each week, seems like he could get the ABs in the future.

    Did you give MLB.TV customer service a call.? Last season, I was blacked out for any Padres games even though I live in southern AZ. After a while, I called and they said it was a simple mistake. They pressed a few buttons and it was fixed.

    Barnhardt is a lefty, but Gomes was 6 for 11 off Eovaldi in his career. Small sample, but….

    Something that should surprise absolutely nobody: the White Sox have placed Eloy Jimenez on the 10-day DL with a hammy strain.

    Giants have 7 HRs (so far) today against the Southsiders.

    Meant to post this the other night, but I watched some of the White Sox / Astros game from Opening Day. Roger Clemens was in the booth, and I thought he did a really good job. His analysis was great and he wasn’t dickish or overbearing at all. Wonder if that was a one time thing or if he’ll be a regular.

    Dylan Cease gave up a lead off single. He’s then struck out 8 of the next 12 batters. The Astros hitters look completely lost at the plate thru 4 innings. Cease is dealing!

    Yeah, I get the stats, and it’s clearly well deserved. Just visually, it looks like he’s uncertain he’ll catch the ball. Nothing natural about it, but he gets the job done.
