I love in Bloomington, Indiana... we dont get WCIU but because I live in the cubs "market" the game is blacked out on mlb.tv. it's a lose-lose for people like me.

Are you kidding? Indy has some of the worst fans in the country. Before Peyton, they begged for fans to go to Colts games. The pacers don't draw. There is no way they could support a MLB team with cincy so close. Las Vegas is the most logical place for a baseball team. They'd sell 2.5 million tickets annually, no doubt.

Theriot was on the team last May from May 8 until May 26 and stepped into the batters box a whopping five times. I have no reason to believe Theriot would have a chance with dusty managing and Izzy/DeRosa on this team.

+1 I'm all about rooting against the brewers but no need to go to their park when the cubs arent there for the sole purpose of rooting against them. Yeah, I don't get this at all. I enjoy attending baseball games at Miller Park and the Brewers have a fun, young team. I think, more than ever, I'd be open to attending a game because the Brewers are suddenly worth watching and I've always enjoyed seeing games at places other than Wrigley. I have three weeks off in August and I think I'll hit up a game at Miller. I also want to catch a game at the Cell. Needless to say, I won't be cheering for the Brewers or Sox. What I'm trying to say is... I wouldn't go to Miller Park just to cheer against the Brewers. I'd go to Miller Park because it's a nice place to catch a game, the brewers are an exciting team, and it would be a fun night.

The ball "hums" when it comes out of his hand... if he could only find some location. Great velocity, little control. Granted, I've only seen a bullpen session from him.

I'm watching him toss a bullpen session right now (he's rehabbing in Rockford). Kid has great stuff...wish he could put it all together.

As a chicago fan who doesn't live in chicago, I disagree. Just going to the papers' individual sites is much better. I was thinking more along the lines of a Padres fan (for example) merely looking for some notes from other teams in the league. Obviously cubs fans should look at the local papers first. But for a casual fan of any other team, insider serves its purpose.

Which is perfectly fine for anyone who doesn't live in the Chicago area. It may not be your best source for local information, but it gets straight to the point for a baseball fan reading anywhere else.

On the top of the Wrigley Field page at cubs.com, they have a brief history of the ballpark. It says... "Wrigley Field, which was built in 1914, will be playing host to Major League Baseball for the 94th season in 2007 - and to the Cubs for the 92nd year." Please correct me if I'm wrong here.... Now obviously the Chicago Whales (of the federal league) played there in 1914-1915. The Cubs have been playing there since 1916. The federal league, while a professional baseball league, was in no way the Major Leagues. (yes they did have some former Cubs players - Three Fingers Brown, Joe Tinkers..) Does anyone know of a good website which lists the agents for MLB players? I'm looking for a few agents to get in touch with about a few former athletes. Any ideas?
