He has done well in that aspect. Makes it much easier when you have cyborg relievers in Herrera, Davis, and Holland. It would be cool of Ned would start his best starter though. Danny Duffy is so good and they're not even using him. Step in and steal him please Theo. Yeah, I agree that Duffy should be pitching, but he has struggled with his mechanics lately. The Royals believe he is having trouble throwing strikes from the windup, and I have noticed this too as well, watching on the TV. So Duffy is "simplifying" his motion by going on the stretch instead of the windup.

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like in playoff time, the quality of the home plate umpire has been horrendous.

Got to mention (just my opinion) that Theo/Cubs made the right time on trading away Hammel. Since he joined the A's, he has been awful, or so it seems..... Since joining the A's, his WHIP is a horrendous 1.828 and a WAR of -0.6.

Didn't he go like 50-some innings without giving up an extra-base hit? I remember Rany Jazayerli tweeting about it, but I'm not sure the total amount of innings. Pretty close to that, I'm sure. Either way, he has been pretty much almost untouchable.

Not really a weird stat, but more of a dominating stat, I suppose. The Royals are 49-1 when they have the lead after 7 innings.

I remember Vance Law. Thought he was going to be awesome and with that last name, (I was a kid) it was "Laying the Law down!" I vaguely remember the "Long arm of the Law" as well. -
Same here for the most part. RIP. Ditto here. I liked him, and I always thought of him (this was when I was a kid of course) as a angry grandpa with a big chunk of chaw on his mouth.
