That makes sense. You know teams are more likely to walk Aramis. It makes a lot of sense. Pierre's not good. There's no reason to pick a fight. Aramis, as the only true power threat in the lineup, should have a higher OBP regardless of his BA. It's comparing apples and oranges. MURTON Oh, I'm not intending to pick a fight. You expressed your opinion that Ramirez's OBP is higher than Pierre's b/c of Ramirez is good enough to be pitched around. So I was just expressing the other side of the coin...that Juan Pierre is NOT good enough to be pitched around. Since Pierre cannot hit for ANY power, he has one job and one job alone: get on base. If he doesn't get on base, he's useless as a ballplayer. Well, he hasn't gotten on base this year with any consistancy whatsoever.
